WHY IS OMF SUPERIOR?

Prior to the Transor, end users struggled with various forms of filtration, including paper roll filters, cartridges, centrifuges and pre-coat systems. These provided inferior filtration levels, high operating costs and were maintenance intensive.

Unlike any other filter, The Transor System’s proprietary One Micron Filtration (OMF) delivers unparallel performance while being virtually maintenance free. OMF’s unique engineering principle of edge filtration forces dirty oil toward the center of each element and particles larger than One Micron are trapped on the filter “edge". Rather than being replaced, the elements are cleaned automatically with compressed air that removes the debris and places it into a receptacle for reclamation or disposal.

Life expectancy of the filter elements is approximately 25,000 hours, however, this figure is often times greatly exceeded.

End-users have discovered machining with oil filtered to this level offers substantial benefits including:

  • Faster cycle times
  • Finer surface finishes and improved accuracy
  • Reduced machine maintenance
  • Significantly lower consumable costs

In addition, due to the fine filtration and temperature control of the oil, the life span of the oil used is greatly extended.
