Our work at Matrix is about improving the quality of people’s lives. Last Saturday, our team seized the chance to do that outside of our normal work day as well. Matrix employees wish to thank Feed My Starving Children - Schaumburg for the opportunity to work together and help pack enough meals to feed 48 precious children for an entire year. 40 years ago, TOM ZIEGENHORN began his full-time career as the first tooling apprentice at Matrix. While learning the trade, he never said “no” and learned to run just about every piece of equipment in the shop at one time or another. Over the years, he honed his skills to become an extremely talented and versatile moldmaker. His manufacturing experience, overall knowledge of our core operations, and creative problem-solving also made him a gifted CAD designer. Tom has been instrumental to our continued growth and success, and our business today has his fingerprints all over it. He’s also a patient teacher and THE nicest guy who cares deeply about his co-workers, his family, and the future of Matrix. Thank you, Tom! We gratefully acknowledge your countless contributions as we wish you a Happy 40th Matrix Anniversary!
