The S & S Hinge Company (E-Commerce - www.SandSHinge.com) is a third generation Lean continuous piano hinge manufacturer (Est. 1932). We manufacture the mid-range gauges (.035, .040, .050, .060, and .070) of continuous piano hinge in steel, stainless, aluminum, bright-annealed stainless, brass pre-plate, and nickel pre-plate. We can customize our standard continuous piano hinges with Value-Added options including: Cut-to-length, hole punching, forming, swaging, offsetting, staking, and many other Value-Added fabrications and post-finishes. S & S stands for "Savings and Service" - the old-fashioned values on which our founders built the business 91 years ago. Today, that means: Free new-product development, free engineering assistance and free engineered samples/prototypes, new State-of-the-Art ERP/MRP Lean process management systems provide shorter average lead times, certified TQM program assures 100% defect-free parts, and inventory management programs covering all inventory-flow types (ex: JIT, Kanban, etc.).

    Announcing Change of Ownership We are happy to announce that as of May 1st, 2023, Greg and Mary Grimler, owners of Quality Hinges located in University Park, IL are the new owners of the S & S Hinge Company Bloomingdale, IL. Chris Stevenson owner and the third generation of Stevensons, the outgoing President/CEO has passed the torch of this 91-year-old manufacturing company into the extremely capable hands of Greg and Mary Grimler.    It was only natural that the Grimlers would become the new owners of S & S Hinge, as there has always been a synergy between the two companies. Both companies are industry leaders within their product range, and when they found that together they would be able to meet all their customers’ hinge requirements, a partnership was born. This ability to meet all hinge requirements will continue and thrive under their leadership.   Greg and Mary are committed to the principles of Lean manufacturing, continuous process improvement, and to providing quality products to our valued customers. They believe that our ISO 9001: 2015 certification will effectively maintain and improve our Total Quality Management system and will continue to strengthen our commitment to our valued customers.   They bring years of experience, and manufacturing expertise. They share the S & S Hinge Company mission statement which is, “Providing unprecedented Customer Service, manufacturing a quality product, and providing on-time delivery.” Most importantly their vision focuses on future growth, fulfilling their dreams and aspirations as owners of S & S Hinge, and securing a sustainable future for the employees of the company. They are fully engaged in taking S & S Hinge to new levels of success.    Greg and Mary look forward to working with the S & S Hinge, loyal customers, and valued suppliers.  They believe that it is through these business relationships that we will continue to achieve success in the months and years to come.
